RESOLUTION NO. 2018-490 REQUEST FROM THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, DISTRICT 2 OFFICE, FOR A VARIANCE TO THE NOISE ORDINANCE FOR TWENTY- FOUR HOUR CONSTRUCTION TO U.S. HWY 63 LOCATED BETWEEN FRANKLIN AND NEWELL STREETS FROM JULY 2, 2018 TO DECEMBER 31, 2019. WHEREAS, Iowa Department of Transportation, District 2 Office, for a variance to the Noise Ordinance to allow for twenty-four (24) hour construction to U.S. Hwy. 63 located between Franklin and Newell Streets from July 2, 2018 to December 31, 2019, and and WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, WHEREAS, Iowa Department of Transportation, District 2 Office has made formal application for a variance to the Noise Ordinance, together with recommendation and approval of the Captain of Police Services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of the Iowa Department of Transportation, District 2 Office for a variance to the Noise Ordinance to allow for twenty-four (24) hour construction to U.S. Hwy. 63 located between Franklin and Newell Streets from July 2, 2018 to December 31, 2019, is hereby granted.
