RESOLUTION NO. 2018-580
RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
AUGUST 20, 2018 TO APPROVE AN AMENDMENT TO THE
CITY OF WATERLOO ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 5079 TO
EXPAND THE ALCOHOL SALES USE OVERLAY DISTRICT
AND CHANGE THE REQUIREMENT FOR RETAIL AREA OF
A GROCERY STORE FROM 10,000 SQUARE FEET TO 15,000
SQUARE FEET, AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY CLERK TO
PUBLISH NOTICE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa shall meet in the Harold E.
Getty Council Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa at 5:30 p.m. on the 20th day of August
2018 to approve an amendment to the City of Waterloo Zoning Ordinance No. 5079 to expand
the Alcohol Sales Use Overlay District and change the requirement for retail area of a grocery
store from 10,000 square feet to 15,000 square feet.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place
of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of August 2018.
