RESOLUTION NO. 2018-582
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST TO HOLD MDA
BOOT BLOCK ON AUGUST 17, 24 AND 31, 2018 AND
SEPTEMBER 7, 2018 FROM 3:00 P.M. TO 6:00 P.M., AT THE
INTERSECTIONS OF FRANKLIN & E. 3RD STREETS,
ANSBOROUGH & DOWNING AVENUES, LAPORTE ROAD
AND SAN MARNAN DRIVE, AND KIMBALL & RIDGEWAY
AVENUES.
WHEREAS, it has been the tradition of Waterloo Firefighters Local #66 to help the
Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) with a Boot Block, and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Fire Services is requesting that said Boot Block for Muscular
Dystrophy Association (MDA) be held on August 17, August 24 and August 31, 2018 from 3:00
pm to 6:00 pm, at the intersections of Franklin & E. 3rd Streets, LaPorte Road and San Mannan
Drive, and Kimball and Ridgeway Avenues.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of the Chief of Fire Services to hold a Boot Block for
Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) on August 17, August 24 and August 31, 2018 from
3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, at the intersections of Franklin & E. 3rd Streets, LaPorte Road and San
Mannan Drive, and Kimball and Ridgeway Avenues, is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of August 2018.
