RESOLUTION NO. 2018-588
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF CONTRACT
TO PIRC TOBIN CONSTRUCTION, INC. OF ALBURNETT,
IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $520,522.50, AND APPROVING
THE CONTRACT, BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF
INSURANCE FOR THE FY 2019 BROCK 3RD ADDITION
SANITARY SEWER EXTENSION, CONTRACT NO. 954, AND
AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Pirc Tobin Construction, Inc. of Alburnett, Iowa submitted a bid in the
amount of$520,522.50, and is the apparent low bidder, in conjunction with the FY 2019 Brock
3rd Addition Sanitary Sewer Extension, Contract No. 954, and
WHEREAS, Pirc Tobin Construction, Inc. submitted a written contract, per the
specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with Resolution No. 2018-560,
after public hearing on July 30, 2018, in conjunction with the FY 2019 Brock 3rd Addition
Sanitary Sewer Extension, Contract No. 954.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Pirc Tobin Construction, Inc. in the amount of $520,522.50, in
conjunction with the FY 2019 Brock 3rd Addition Sanitary Sewer Extension, Contract No. 954,
is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Pirc Tobin
Construction, Inc., in conjunction with the FY 2019 Brock 3rd Addition Sanitary Sewer
Extension, Contract No. 954, are hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized
and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of August 2018.
