RESOLUTION NO. 2018-600
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CITY OF WATERLOO
IDENTITY THEFT PREVENTION POLICY.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo stores and maintains sensitive information
pertaining to its employees, contractors, customers and organizations, and
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo determined an Identity Theft Prevention Policy was to
be established to protect its employees, contractors, customers and organizations from damages
related to the loss or misuse of sensitive information, and
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo determined said policy would enable the City to reduce
the risk from identity theft and minimize potential damage to them from fraudulent new
accounts.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,that the Identity Theft Prevention Policy, is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of August 2018.
