RESOLUTION NO. 2018-488
REQUEST FROM IOWA HEARTLAND HABITAT FOR
HUMANITY FOR A WAIVER FOR A CONCRETE
DRIVEWAY LOCATED AT 713 EUREKA STREET AND
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A CONCRETE
DRIVEWAY AND PLACING A DRIVEWAY OR SIDEWALK
ON CITY RIGHT-OF-WAY ON AN UNIMPROVED STREET.
WHEREAS, the Interim City Engineer has made written application to the City Council
asking that from Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity be authorized and permitted to construct a
concrete driveway and placing a driveway or sidewalk on city right-of-way on an unimproved
street,to be located at 713 Eureka Street and legally described as follows:
LOT 13 IRVING SQUARE ADDITION, CITY OF WATERLOO,
BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA.
WHEREAS, it is the sense of the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, that said request
should be granted.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that permission is hereby granted
to from Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity to construct a concrete driveway and place a
driveway or sidewalk on city right-of-way on an unimproved street, to be located at 2345 Osage
Avenue, subject to the following conditions:
1. Work is to be performed by an approved and bonded contractor.
2. A permit is to be obtained from the office of the City Engineer prior to
construction.
3. All work shall be under the supervision of the City Engineer and at no cost to the
City of Waterloo.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is authorized and directed to forward
a certified copy of this resolution to the Black Hawk County Recorder in order that this action
may become a matter of official County record.
