RESOLUTION NO. 2018-542
REQUEST BY LASHUNTA PARKS FOR A VARIANCE TO
THE NOISE ORDINANCE ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 4, 2018
FROM 4:00 P.M. TO 10:00 P.M., IN CONJUNCTION WITH A
BLOCK PARTY TO BE HELD AT 252 DENVER
STREET, INCLUDING A MUSIC SYSTEM AND THE USE OF
CITY BARRICADES.
WHEREAS, LaShunta Parks is requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance on August
4, 2018 from 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at 252 Denver Street, in conjunction with a block party,
including a music system and use of city barricades, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Ordinance No. 3094, Noise
Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of LaShunta Parks for a variance to Ordinance No. 3094,
Noise Ordinance, in conjunction with a block Party to be held at 252 Denver Street, on August 4,
2018, from 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., be hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 30th day of July 2018.
