RESOLUTION NO. 2018-611
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF MAIN STREET
WATERLOO, WATERLOO COMMUNITY SCHOOLS AND
THE CITY OF WATERLOO, TO HOLD THE 20TH ANNUAL
FUN RUN EVENT ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2018
FROM 9:30 A.M. TO NOON, INCLUDING STREET CLOSURE
AND NOISE VARIANCE FOR THE USE OF A PA SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, Main Street Waterloo is requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance on
September 18, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 Noon, in conjunction with the 201h Annual Fun Run
event, including the use of a PA system, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094,Noise Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Main Street Waterloo, Waterloo Community Schools
and the City of Waterloo for a variance to the Noise Ordinance on September 18, 2018 from 9:30
a.m. to 12:00 Noon, in conjunction with the 20th Annual Fun Run event, including the use of a
PA system,together with the recommendation of the Director of Safety Services, be and the same
hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of August 2018.
