RESOLUTION NO. 2018-713
RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT TO SERVICE
ROOFING CO. OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$72,962, AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS, AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, AND AUTHORIZE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Service Roofing Co. of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted bids for the 2018
Carnegie Annex roof replacement project, in the amount of$72,962, and
WHEREAS, Service Roofing Co. submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2018-711, after public hearing on September 24, 2018, in conjunction with the
2018 Carnegie Annex roof replacement project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid Service Roofing Co. in the amount of$72,962 for the 2018 Carnegie
Annex roof replacement project, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted by Service Roofing
Co. are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of September 2018.
