RESOLUTION NO. 2018-699
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO PETERSON
CONTRACTORS, INC. OF REINBECK, IA, IN THE AMOUNT
OF $560,497, AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS
AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FOR THE WING DIKE
INSTALLATION CONTRACT NO. 966, AND AUTHORIZE
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Peterson Contractors, Inc. of Reinbeck, IA, submitted bids for the Wing
Dike Installation Project, Contract No. 966, in the amount of$560,497, and
WHEREAS, Peterson Contractors, Inc. submitted a written contract, bond and certificate
of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2018-697, after public hearing on September 17, 2018, in conjunction with the
Wing Dike Installation Project, Contract No. 966.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Peterson Contractors, Inc. in the amount of$560,497 for the Wing
Dike Installation Project, Contract No. 966, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted by Peterson
Contractors, Inc. are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of September 2018.
