RESOLUTION NO. 2018-675
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF EAST HIGH
SCHOOL TO HOLD THEIR ANNUAL HOMECOMING
PARADE ON SEPTEMBER 21, 2018 FROM 2:00 P.M. TO 3:00
P.M., BEGINNING AND ENDING AT EAST HIGH,
TRAVELING ON E. 5TH, SYCAMORE AND E. 4TH STREETS,
INCLUDING A STREET CLOSURE OF HIGH STREET FROM
10:00 A.M. TO THE STARTING TIME OF THE PARADE.
WHEREAS, East High School has requested that they be allowed to hold their
Homecoming Parade on September 21, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., beginning and ending
at East High, traveling on E. 5th, Sycamore and E. 4th Streets, including a street closure of High
Street from 10:00 a.m. to the starting time of the parade, together with the approval of the
Director of Safety Services, and
WHEREAS, said event will begin at 2:00 p.m., with the route to start and end at East
High School.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of East High School to hold their Homecoming Parade on
September 30, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. beginning and ending at East High, including a
street closure of High Street from 10:00 a.m. to the starting time of the parade, be and the same is
hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of September 2018.
