RESOLUTION NO. 2018-596
REQUEST FROM MIKE BECKER FOR A WAIVER FOR A
CONCRETE DRIVEWAY LOCATED AT 162 LOWDER
ROAD, AND AUTHORIZE THE CONSTRUCTION OF A
CONCRETE DRIVEWAY AND PLACING A DRIVEWAY OR
SIDEWALK ON CITY RIGHT-OF-WAY ON AN
UNIMPROVED STREET.
WHEREAS, the Interim City Engineer has made written application to the City Council
asking that Mike Becker be authorized and permitted to construct a concrete driveway and
placing a driveway or sidewalk on the City right-of-way on an unimproved street, to be located
at 162 Lowder Road, and legally described as follows:

N 175 FT TO PT OF BEG & EASE, CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK
COUNTY, IOWA.
WHEREAS, it is the sense of the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa that said request
should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that permission is hereby granted
to James Dooley to construct a concrete driveway and placing a driveway or sidewalk on the City
right-of-way on an unimproved street, to be located at 162 Lowder Road:
1. Work is to be performed by an approved and bonded contractor.
2. A permit is to be obtained from the office of the City Engineer prior to
construction.
3. All work shall be under the supervision of the City Engineer and at no cost to the
City of Waterloo.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is authorized and directed to forward
a certified copy of this resolution to the Black Hawk County Recorder in order that this action
may become a matter of official County record.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of August 2018.
