RESOLUTION APPROVING A REQUEST FROM SHAWN
HOOSMAN APPEALING THE DECISION OF THE INTERIM CITY
ENGINEER PER THE PROVISIONS OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES SECTION 7-1-4(G), CONCERNING THE
DISALLOWANCE OF A SECOND CURB CUT ON A PROPERTY
WITH LESS THAN 100 FOOT OF STREET FRONTAGE, LOCATED
AT 333 WENDELL COURT, TOGETHER WITH
RECOMMENDATION OF APPROVAL OF THE PLANNING,
PROGRAMMING AND ZONING COMMISSION, SUBJECT TO THE
CONDITION THAT THE SECOND CURB CUT SHALL NOT BE
CONSTRUCTED UNTIL ISSUANCE OF A GARAGE PERMIT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
WHEREAS, Shawn Hoosman, 333 Wendell Court, has made written application to the
City Council appealing City Code, Section 7-1-4(G), concerning the disallowance of a second
curb cut on a property with less than 100 foot of street frontage, and legally described as follows:
URBAN ACRES LOT 17 AND NORTH 20 FEET OF LOT 16, CITY OF
WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA.
to allow for a second curb cut to access the property, subject to the condition that the second curb
cut shall not be constructed until issuance of a garage permit.
WHEREAS, it is the sense of the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, that the request
of Shawn Hoosman, 333 Wendell Court, appealing City Code, Section 7-1-4(G), concerning the
disallowance of a second curb cut on a property with less than 100 foot of street frontage, subject
to the condition that the second curb cut shall not be constructed until issuance of a garage
permit, be approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of October 2018.
