RESOLUTION NO. 2018-776
RESOLUTION AWARDING THE CONTRACT TO ZIEGLER
CAT OF POSTVILLE, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $7,000
PER GRADER, PER MONTH FOR A TOTAL OF $112,000, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE RENTAL OF FOUR (4) MOTOR
GRADERS TO SUPPORT SNOW OPERATIONS, AND
AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Ziegler Cat of Postville, Iowa submitted a bid in the amount of$7,000 per
grader, per month for a total of$112,000, and is the apparent low bidder in conjunction with the
rental of four (4)motor graders to support snow operations, and
WHEREAS, Ziegler Cat submitted a written contract, per the specifications heretofore
adopted by this Council for said project with Resolution No. 2018-774, after public hearing on
October 15, 2018, in conjunction with the rental of four (4) motor graders to support snow
operations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Ziegler Cat in the amount of$7,000 per grader, per month for a
total of $112,000, in conjunction with the rental of four (4) motor graders to support snow
operations, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract submitted by Ziegler Cat, in conjunction with the rental of four
(4) motor graders to support snow operations, is hereby approved, and the Mayor is authorized to
execute said document on behalf of the City of Waterloo.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of October 2018.
