RESOLUTION NO. 2018-848
RESOLUTION AWARDING THE 2018 2018 PUBLIC WORKS -
OLD CMC BUILDING, ROOF REPLACEMENT PROJECT
CONTRACT TO SERVICE ROOFING CO. OF WATERLOO,
IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $63,400, INCLUDING $ 7.00 PER
SQUARE FOOT FOR REPLACEMENT OF DETERIORATED
ROOF DECKING AS NECESSARY, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE 2018 PUBLIC WORKS - OLD CMC BUILDING ROOF
REPLACEMENT PROJECT, APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, AND
AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Service Roofing Co. of Waterloo, Iowa submitted a bid in the amount of
$63,400, with an alternate bid of$7.00 per square foot for decking repairs, and is the apparent
low bidder in conjunction with the 2018 Public Works - Old CMC Building, Roof Replacement
Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA that the bid of Service Roofing Co., in the amount of $63,400, with an
alternate bid of$7.00 per square foot for decking repairs , is hereby awarded, and the contract,
bond, and certificate of insurance in conjunction with 2018 Public Works - Old CMC Building,
Roof Replacement Project, described in the specifications heretofore adopted by Resolution No.
2018-846, after public hearing on November 19, 2018, on published notice required by law, are
hereby approved and the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf
of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of November 2018.
