RESOLUTION NO. 2019-26
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO CARDINAL
CONSTRUCTION OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT
OF $80,300, AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS,
AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE RIVERFRONT STADIUM GROUP SEATING
BOXES PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Cardinal Construction of Waterloo, Iowa submitted a bid in the amount of
$80,300, and is the apparent low bidder in conjunction with the Riverfront Stadium Group
Seating Boxes Project, and
WHEREAS, Cardinal Construction submitted a written contract, per the specifications
heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with Resolution No. 2019-13, after public
hearing on January 7, 2019, in conjunction with the Riverfront Stadium Group Seating Boxes
Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Cardinal Construction in the amount of $80,300, in conjunction
with the Riverfront Stadium Group Seating Boxes Project, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Cardinal
Construction, in conjunction with the Riverfront Stadium Group Seating Boxes Project, are
hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of January 2019.
