RESOLUTION NO. 2019-27
RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA
SMALL CELL DESIGN GUIDELINES, AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH SAID GUIDELINES.
WHEREAS, the FCC adopted a small cell order that limits municipal oversight on the
placement of small cell equipment as well as setting limits on what the City can charge for fees
associated with review, approval, and oversight of small cell facilities, and
WHEREAS, the FCC has set limits on City fees associated with review, approval, and
oversight of small cell facilities, and
WHEREAS, the FCC restrictions will be in place as of January 14, 2019, and
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has no written standards in place for addressing small
cell facilities.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo that
the Small Cell Design Guidelines are hereby adopted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of January 2019.
