RESOLUTION NO. 2019-84
RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT TO LODGE
CONSTRUCTION OF CLARKSVILLE, IOWA IN THE
AMOUNT OF $520,649.23 IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE 2018
REMEDIAL ACTIONS PHASE IIIB, CONTRACT NO. 949 AND
APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE
OF INSURANCE, AND AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Lodge Construction of Clarksville, Iowa, submitted bids for the 2018
Remedial Actions Phase IIIB, Contract No. 949, in the amount of $520,649.23, and
WHEREAS, Lodge Construction of Clarksville, Iowa, submitted a written contract, bond
and certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said
project with Resolution No. 2019-82, after public hearing on February 11, 2019, in conjunction
with the 2018 Remedial Actions Phase IIIB, Contract No. 949.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid Lodge Construction submitted in the amount of $520,649.23 for the
2018 Remedial Actions Phase I1113, Contract No. 949, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted by Lodge
Construction are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
