RESOLUTION NO. 2019-87
RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT TO MUNICIPAL
PIPE TOOL CO., LLC OF HUDSON, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT
OF $377,252.75 IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2019 CIP
PIPELINING PHASE HIC, CONTRACT NO. 962 AND
APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE
OF INSURANCE, AND AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Municipal Pipe Tool Co., LLC of Hudson, Iowa, submitted bids for the FY
2019 CIP Pipelining Phase IIIC, Contract No. 962, in the amount of $377,252.75, and
WHEREAS, Municipal Pipe Tool Co., LLC of Hudson Iowa, submitted a written
contract, bond and certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this
Council for said project with Resolution No. 2019-85, after public hearing on February 11, 2019,
in conjunction with the FY 2019 CIP Pipelining Phase IHC, Contract No. 962.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid Municipal Pipe Tool Co., LLC submitted in the amount of
$377,252.75 for the FY 2019 CIP Pipelining Phase IIIC, Contract No. 962, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted by Lodge
Construction are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of February 2019.
