RESOLUTION APPROVING A REQUEST BY BRANDON
SIMON FOR A VARIANCE TO ORDINANCE 5-2-11,
VEHICLES ON FLOOD CONTROL LEVEES, ON MAY 4, 2019
TO ALLOW MOTOR CROSS RACERS TO CROSS THE
LEVEE AND OPERATE ON CATTLE CONGRESS GROUNDS
ON BOTH SIDES OF THE LEVEE; AND ORDNANCE 4-5-6,
MOTOR VEHICLE MAXIMUM SOUND LEVELS, FROM 10:00
A.M. TO 5:00 P.M., IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE 4TH
ANNUAL URBANCROSS GRAND PRIX EVENT.
WHEREAS, Brandon Simon is requesting a variance to the Vehicles on Flood Control
Levees Ordinance 5-2-11, 011 May 4, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., to allow motor cross
racers to cross the levee and operate on Cattle Congress grounds on both sides of the levee, in
conjunction with the 4th Annual UrbanCross Grand Prix event and,
WHEREAS, Brandon Simon is requesting a variance to the Motor Vehicle Maximum
Sound Levels, Ordinance 4-5-6, on May 4, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., to allow motor
cross racers to cross the levee and operate on Cattle Congress grounds on both sides of the levee,
in conjunction with the UrbanCross Grand Prix event.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Brandon Simon allowing a variance to the Vehicles on
Flood Control Levees Ordinance 5-2-11, and a variance to the Motor Vehicle Maximum Sound
Levels Ordinance 4-5-6, on May 4, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Cattle Congress
grounds, in conjunction with the 4th Annual UrbanCross Grand Prix event, be, and the same
hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of March 2019.
