RESOLUTION NO. 2019-147
RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM CROSSROADS
COMMUNITY CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE, FOR A
COMMUNITY BLOCK PARTY TO BE HELD IN THE
PARKING LOT LOCATED AT 3622 HAMMOND AVENUE,
ON JUNE 15, 2019, FROM 10:30 A.M. TO 4:00 P.M., IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE PRAISE AND WORSHIP EVENT,
ALONG WITH A LIVE BAND AND USE OF A PA SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, Crossroads Community Church of the Nazarene is requesting a variance to
the Noise Ordinance on June 15, 2019 for a community block party to be held in the parking lot
located at 3622 Hammond Avenue from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in conjunction with the Praise
and Worship event, along with a live band and use of a PA system, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Crossroads Community Church of the Nazarene for a
variance to the Noise Ordinance, on June 15, 2019, for a community block party, from 10:30 a.m.
to 4:00 p.m., in conjunction with the Praise and Worship event, to be held in the parking lot at
3622 Hammond Avenue along with a live band and use of a PA system, be granted
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of March 2019.
