RESOLUTION NO. 2019-184
RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT TO SERVICE
ROOFING COMPANY OF WATERLOO, IOWA IN THE
AMOUNT OF 239,500, AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FIRE STATION NO. 1 ROOF
REPLACEMENT PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Service Roofmg Company of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted bids for the Fire
Station No. 1 Roof Replacement Project, in the amount of $239,500, and
WHEREAS, Service Roofing Company, submitted a written contract, bond and
certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project
with Resolution No. 2019-182, after public hearing on April 1, 2019, in conjunction with the Fire
Station No. 1 Roof Replacement Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid Service Roofmg Company submitted in the amount of $239,500 for
the Fire Station No. 1 Roof Replacement Project is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted by Lodge
Construction are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of April 2019.
