RESOLUTION NO. 2019-202
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF MAIN STREET
WATERLOO, WATERLOO COMMUNITY SCHOOLS AND
THE CITY OF WATERLOO, TO HOLD THE ANNUAL FUN
RUN EVENT ON TUESDAY, MAY 7, 2019 FROM 9:30 A.M.
TO NOON, INCLUDING STREET CLOSURE AND NOISE
VARIANCE FOR THE USE OF A PA SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, Main Street Waterloo, Waterloo Community Schools and the City of
Waterloo are requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance on May 7, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. to
12:00 Noon, in conjunction with the Annual Fun Run event, including the use of a PA system,
and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Main Street Waterloo, Waterloo Community Schools
and the City of Waterloo for a variance to the Noise Ordinance on May 7, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. to
12:00 Noon, in conjunction with the Annual Fun Run event, including the use of a PA system,
together with the recommendation of the Director of Safety Services, be granted.
