RESOLUTION NO. 2019-208
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BIDS, TO B & B
LAWN CARE, INC. OF WATERLOO, IOWA, OPTION A IN
THE AMOUNT OF 52.45/ACRE AND OPTION D IN THE
AMOUNT OF $54.78/ACRE, OPTION B TO PROFESSIONAL
LAWN CARE, LLC OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $54.50/ACRE AND OPTION C TO WILSON
CUSTOM TREE OF CRESCO, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$590/ACRE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE 2019 RIGHT OF
WAY MOWING CONTRACT AND APPROVING THE
CONTRACTS, BONDS, AND CERTIFICATES OF
INSURANCE, AND AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, B&B Lawn Care, Inc. of Waterloo, Iowa submitted a bid in the amount of
$52.45 per acre, Option A, and $54.78 per acre, Option D, and is the apparent low bidder for
Option A and D, in conjunction the 2019 Right of Way Mowing Contract, and
WHEREAS, B&B Lawn Care, Inc. submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2019-206, after public hearing on April 8, 2019, in conjunction the 2019 Right of
Way Mowing Contract.
WHEREAS, Professional Lawn Care, LLC of Waterloo, Iowa submitted a bid in the
amount of $54.50 per acre, Option B, and is the apparent low bidder for Option B, in conjunction
the 2019 Right of Way Mowing Contract, and
WHEREAS, Professional Lawn Care, LLC, submitted a written contract, bond and
certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project
with Resolution No. 2019-206, after public hearing on April 8, 2019, in conjunction the 2019
Right of Way Mowing Contract
WHEREAS, Wilson Custom Tree of Cresco, Iowa submitted a bid in the amount of $590
per acre, Option C, and is the apparent low bidder for Option C, in conjunction with the 2019
Right of Way Mowing Contract,
WHEREAS, Wilson Custom Tree, submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2019-206, after public hearing on April 8, 2019, in conjunction the 2019 Right of
Way Mowing Contract
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of B&B Lawn Care, Inc. in the amount of $52.45 per acre, Option A,
and $54.78 per acre for Option D, in conjunction with the 2019 Right of Way Mowing Contract,
is hereby awarded.
2. That the bid of Professional Lawn Care, LLC in the amount of $54.50 per acre,
Option B, in conjunction with the 2019 Right of Way Mowing Contract, is hereby awarded.

3. That the bid of Wilson Custom Tree in the amount of $500 per acre, Option C, in
conjunction with the 2019 Right of Way Mowing Contract, is hereby awarded.
4. That the contracts, bonds and certificates of insurance submitted by B & B Lawn
Care, Inc., Professional Lawn Care, LLC and Wilson Custom Tree, in conjunction with the 2019
Right of Way Mowing Contract, described in the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council
for said project with Resolution No. 2019-206, after public hearing on April 8, 2019 on published
notice required by law, are hereby accepted and approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of April 2019.
