RESOLUTION NO. 2019-220
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO LEHMAN TRUCKING &
EXCAVATING, INC. OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $47,500, AND APPROVING CONTRACT,
BONDS, AND CERT'IF'ICATES OF INSURANCE IN
CONJUNCTION WITH DEMOLITION SERVICES AT: 1420,
1422, 1426, 1430 COMMERCIAL STREET, 1211 SYCAMORE
STREET, 328 W. 14TH STREET, 536 DAWSON STREET AND
419 LANE STREET, AND AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Lehman Trucking & Excavating, Inc. of Waterloo, Iowa submitted a bid in
the amount of $47,500, in conjunction with demolition services for 1420, 1422, 1426, 1430
Commercial Street, 1211 Sycamore Street, 328 W. 14th Street, 536 Dawson Street and 419 Lane
Street, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Lehman Trucking & Excavating, Inc. submitted a written contract, bond
and certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said
projects with Resolution No. 2019-218, after public hearing on April 8, 2019, in conjunction
with demolition services for 1420, 1422, 1426, 1430 Commercial Street, 1211 Sycamore Street,
328 W. 14th Street, 536 Dawson Street and 419 Lane Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Lehman Trucking & Excavating, Inc. in the amount of $47,500, in
conjunction with asbestos abatement services for 1420, 1422, 1426, 1430 Commercial Street,
1211 Sycamore Street, 328 W. 14th Street, 536 Dawson Street and 419 Lane Street, is hereby
awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Lehman Trucking &
Excavating, Inc., in conjunction with asbestos abatement services for 1420, 1422, 1426, 1430
Commercial Street, 1211 Sycamore Street, 328 W. 14th Street, 536 Dawson Street and 419 Lane
Street, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
