RESOLUTION NO. 2019-223
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID LEHMAN TRUCKING &
EXCAVATING, INC. OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $102,100, AND APPROVING CONTRACT,
BOND AND CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE, FOR
DEMOLITION SERVICES AT: 1100 GRANT AVENUE, 800 W.
2ND STREET,1131 BERTCH STREET, 614 W. 7TH STREET,
623 W. 2ND STREET, 3126 FRANKLIN STREET, 706 W.
PARK AVENUE, 322 AND 326 CRESCENT PLACE, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Lehman Trucking & Excavating, Inc. of Waterloo, Iowa submitted a bid in
the amount of $102,100, in conjunction with demolition services for 1100 Grant Avenue, 800
W. 2nd Street,1131 Bertch Street, 614 W. 7th Street, 623 W. 2nd Street, 3126 Franklin Street,
706 W. Park Avenue, 322 and 326 Crescent Place, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Lehman Trucking & Excavating, Inc. submitted a written contract, bond
and certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said
projects with Resolution No. 2019-221, after public hearing on April 8, 2019, in conjunction
with demolition services for 1100 Grant Avenue, 800 W. 2nd Street,1131 Bertch Street, 614 W.
7th Street, 623 W. 2nd Street, 3126 Franklin Street, 706 W. Park Avenue, 322 and 326 Crescent
Place.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Lehman Trucking & Excavating, Inc. in the amount of $102,100, in
conjunction with asbestos abatement services for 1100 Grant Avenue, 800 W. 2nd Street,1131
Bertch Street, 614 W. 7th Street, 623 W. 2nd Street, 3126 Franklin Street, 706 W. Park Avenue,
322 and 326 Crescent Place, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Lehman Trucking &
Excavating, Inc., in conjunction with asbestos abatement services for 1100 Grant Avenue, 800
W. 2nd Street,1131 Bertch Street, 614 W. 7th Street, 623 W. 2nd Street, 3126 Franklin Street,
706 W. Park Avenue, 322 and 326 Crescent Place, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
