RESOLUTION NO. 2019-270
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO LODGE
CONSTRUCTION, INC., OF CLARKSVILLE, IOWA, IN TI -IE
AMOUNT OF $399,254.78, AND APPROVING CONTRACT,
BONDS AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, 1N
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2019 SIDEWALK REPAIR
PROGRAM - ZONE 9, CONTRACT NO. 969, AND
AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Lodge Construction, Inc., of Clarksville, Iowa, submitted a bid in the
amount of $399,254.78, and is the apparent low bidder in conjunction with the FY 2019
Sidewalk Repair Program - Zone 9, Contract No. 969, and
WHEREAS, Lodge Construction, Inc. submitted a written contract, per the specifications
heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with Resolution No. 2019-266, after public
hearing on April 22, 2019, in conjunction with the FY 2019 Sidewalk Repair Program - Zone 9,
Contract No. 969.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Lodge Construction, Inc. in the amount of $80,300, in conjunction
with the FY 2019 Sidewalk Repair Program - Zone 9, Contract No. 969, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Lodge
Construction, Inc., in conjunction with the FY 2019 Sidewalk Repair Program - Zone 9, Contract
No. 969, are hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to
execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of April 2019.
