RESOLUTION NO. 2019-328
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF CONTRACT
TO ASPRO, INC. OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT
OF $3,364,128.31, AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BONDS AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FOR THE FY
2019 ASPHALT OVERLAY PROGRAM, CONTRACT NO. 964,
AND AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Aspro, Inc. of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount of
$3,364,128.31, and is the apparent low bidder in conjunction with the FY 2019 Asphalt Overlay
Program, Contract No. 964, and
WHEREAS, Aspro, Inc. submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of insurance,
per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with Resolution No.
2019-326, after public hearing on May 6, 2019, in conjunction with the FY 2019 Asphalt Overlay
Program, Contract No. 964.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Aspro, Inc. in the amount of $3,364,128.31, in conjunction with
the FY 2019 Asphalt Overlay Program, Contract No. 964, is hereby accepted.
2. That the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted by Aspro, Inc., in
conjunction with the FY 2019 Asphalt Overlay Program, Contract No. 964, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of May 2019.
