Sealed proposals will be received by the
City Clerk of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, at
her office in the City Hall of the said City
on the 23rd day of May, 2019 until 1:00
p.m. for the construction of the FY 2019
DYSART RD. AND W. 2ND ST. RECON-
STRUCTION PROGRAM, Contract No.
970, as described in detail in the plans
and specifications now on file in the Office
of the CityClerk.
OPENINOF BIDS
All proposals received will be opened in
the First Floor Conference Room at City
Hall, in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on the
23rd day of May, 2019 at 1:00 p.m., and
the proposals will be acted upon at such
later time and place as may then be fixed
by the City Council.
PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Council of

of contract, and estimate of cost for the
construction of the above-described im-
pgvement project at 5:30 p.m. on the
28th -day of May, 2019, said hearing to be
held in the Harold E. Getty Council'
Chambers in City Hall in said City. The
proposed plans, specifications, form of
contract, and estimate of cost for said
improvements heretofore prepared by the
City of Waterloo are now on file in the
office of the City Clerk for public
examination, and any person interested
therein may file written objection thereto
with the City Clerk before the date set for
said hearing, or appear and make
objection thereto with the City Clerk
before the date set for said hearing, or
appear and make objection thereto at the
meeting above set forth.
SCOPE OF WORK
The .extent of the work involved is the
construction of street improvements in,
along and upon portions of certain
streets, avenues, roads, and alleys, and
such other work as may be incidental
thereto along and upon the following
streets, avenues, roads and alleys.
Street improvements consisting of:
• 9 -inch non -reinforced PCC paving with
integral curb and gutter on W. 2nd Street
• 10 -inch non -reinforced PCC paving with
CD joints on Dysart Road
Subgrade dram tile, granular subbase,
new storm sewer and appurtenances and
other such work as may be incidental
thereto.
All street improvements consist of the
reconstruction of an existing paved street,
which is to be replaced with a proposed
street.
The list of streets, which are proposed for
improvements, is as follows:
