ORDINANCE NO. 4703
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2003 TRAFFIC CODE
BY REPEALING SUBSECTION (22) FIFTH STREET OF
SECTION 541, INCREASING SPEED LIMITS IN
CERTAIN AREAS; AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A
NEW SUBSECTION (22) FIFTH STREET OF SECTION
541, INCREASING SPEED LIMITS IN CERTAIN
AREAS .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That Subsection (22) Fifth Street of Section 541, Increasing
Speed Limits in Certain Areas, of the 2003 Traffic Code, is
hereby repealed in its entirety; that a new Subsection (22) Fifth
Street of Section 541, Increasing Speed Limits in Certain Areas,
of the 2003 Traffic Code, is hereby enacted in lieu thereof as
follows :
(22) Fifth Street northbound -
from Martha to Baltimore Street 35 mph
from Baltimore Street to Locust Street
(school zone when lights flashing) 25 mph
from Locust Street to Grant 35 mph
Fifth Street southbound -
from South to Randolph
(school zone when lights flashing) 25 mph
from Walnut Street to Washington 30 mph
from Washington southbound to Grant 35 mph
