ORDINANCE NO. 4559
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2001 CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, BY
REPEALING SUBPARAGRAPH 2 , OF PARAGRAPH C,
NOISY, ANNOYING ANIMALS, OF SECTION 5-1A-6,
PROHIBITED ACTS AND CONDITIONS, OF ARTICLE
A, DOGS AND CATS, OF CHAPTER 1, ANIMAL
CONTROL, OF TITLE 5, POLICE REGULATIONS; AND
ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SUBPARAGRAPH
2 OF PARAGRAPH C, NOISY, ANNOYING ANIMALS,
OF SECTION 5-1A-6, PROHIBITED ACTS AND
CONDITIONS, OF ARTICLE A, DOGS AND CATS, OF
CHAPTER 1, ANIMAL CONTROL, OF TITLE 5,
POLICE REGULATIONS .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA:
That Subparagraph 2 , of Paragraph C, Noisy, Annoying
Animals, of Section 5-1A-6, Prohibited Acts and Conditions, of
Article A, Dogs and Cats, of Chapter 1, Animal Control, of Title
5, Police Regulations of the 2001 Code of Ordinances of the City
of Waterloo, IA, is hereby repealed in its entirety; that a new
Subparagraph 2 , of Paragraph C, Noisy, Annoying Animals, of
Section 5-1A-6, Prohibited Acts and Conditions, of Article A,
Dogs and Cats, of Chapter 1, Animal Control, of Title 5, Police
Regulations, of the 2001 Code of Ordinances of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, is hereby enacted in lieu thereof as follows :
5-1A-6 : PROHIBITED ACTS AND CONDITIONS :
C. Noisy, Annoying Animals :
2 . After the first written warning, residents of at
least three (3) neighboring households must sign a
citation or a petition. If the owner pleads not
guilty, the signatories will be asked to appear in
court to testify.
