RESOLUTION NO. 2019-341
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE REQUEST OF 105.7 KOKZ
TO HOLD ITS 38TH ANNUAL 4TH STREET CRUISE ON
SATURDAY, MAY 25, 2019 FROM NOON UNTIL 4:00 P.M. IN
THE DOWNTOWN AREA WITH THE 700 BLOCK OF
MULBERRY STREET BEING BLOCKED OFF FROM 8:00
A.M. UNTIL NOON AND 4TH STREET TO BE CLEARED OF
TRAFFIC BY 11:20 A.M.
WHEREAS, 105.7 KOKZ has requested that they be allowed to hold the 38th Annual
105.7 KOKZ 4th Street Cruise on May 25, 2019 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. in downtown
Waterloo, and
WHEREAS, route for the event will be as follows: Cars from the east side will move
from Mulberry Street across the river on 4th Street to Bluff Street and return on Park Avenue
back to Franklin Street. Cars from the west side will move from Bluff Street across the river on
4th Street to Franklin Street and return to Bluff on Fifth Street, and
WHEREAS, the 700 block of Mulberry Street will be blocked off from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00
noon to stage the overflow of cars from the Courthouse parking lot, and
WHEREAS, traffic will be cleared from 4th Street by 11:20 a.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of 105.7 KOKZ to hold the 38th Annual 105.7 KOKZ 4th
Street Cruise on May 25, 2018 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. in downtown Waterloo, with cars
utilizing Mulberry, 4th, Bluff and Franklin Streets and Park Avenue with street closures
beginning at approximately 11:20 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of May 2019.
