DEAR hi0F1 ANDERSON,
1 am Pastor Belinda Smith and my Congregation has directed me to make a written
request through you to the City of Waterloo to purchase land owned by the City in the
vicinity of 918 Newell Street, so that we may construct a new church.
Currently we are renting a place for worship but we are growing every day and Wish to
have our own church for many years to come. Our current location will not suit our long
term needs, and is not located in the area which would be more convenient to our
current members and our future anticipated members. We think the Newell site in an
area that would welcome development and would encourage more growth around it. It
is on a traveled and "well-known" street so would be convenient for members to attend
all church activities..
The Church Board and members have authorized me to offer the City 523,000.00 for the
site, which basically consists of 13 small platted lots. The only condition would be that
we would be able to obtain a building permit for our church at a later date, possibly the
spring of 2020.

Hi Chris,
Thank you again for the phone call today. I am really looking forward to working with you and
the City of Waterloo on this project and many more in the future.
I have attached two preliminary house plan proposals for the lot adjacent to 405 Devonshire (401
Devonshire). As the lot sits on a slat, we believe a split foyer with potential garden view will be
best suited. In addition, aesthetically matching up with the surrounding homes in the
neighborhood. Plans can and will be adjusted to meet the measurements of the lot, meeting the
City setbacks and codes.
My preferred General Contractor, Senadin Dedic, who I have worked with in the past, and on a
current project located at 2712 Delane Ave.

> Young Plumbing
> Martinson Construction
> Iowa Wall Systems
