Congress Sanitary Sewer Force Main Emergency Bypass Repair effective Tuesday, May
21, 2019.
As this project is to effect emergency repairs to a leaking sanitary sewer, time is of the
essence. Please proceed with ordering the necessary materials immediately.

PROPOSAL FOR: Cattle Congress Sanitary Sewer Force Main Emergency Bypass Repair 2019
SPECIAL PROVISIONS:
1. Please refer questions to Chris Fleshner at (319) 415-5212.
2. PCI will be using HPDE Rigid Pipe for the High Pressure Hose Item. PCI plans on Salvaging this pipe for future use.
3. PCI assumes the maintenance of the pipe. If the pipe is damaged due to vandalism PCI will expect payment from the
Contracting Authority for this repair on a T & M Basis.
4. PCI excludes all Engineering Surveying & Soils Testing.
5. PCI assumes a minor amount of loss during the By Pass Operation is acceptable.
6. PCI will Pump and Haul the By Pass material at the Cattle Congress Lift Station. The City will Pump and PCI will Haul
at the Hackett St. Lift Station.
7. PCI is providing a Tee and Valves for future By Passing for the Permanent situation. This is per the engineer.
8. PCI will use Certa LOK for item #1.
9. PCI expects that the City will work with us to reduce the flow of water as much as possible by contacting major
users and requesting shut downs during the By Pass Connection.
