ORDINANCE NO. 4667
AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF CITY
RIGHT-OF-WAY GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS THE
PORTION OF FORMER WEST 6TH AND WELLINGTON
STREETS LOCATED AT THE CURVE OF WEST 5TH
STREET, IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK
COUNTY, IOWA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
as follows :
That part of Lot 9 and Lot 10 in Block No. 18 of Doe' s
Addition, and vacated portions of West Sixth Street and
Wellington Street, all in the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
described as follows :
Beginning at the Southwesterly corner of Lot 6 in Block
No. 19 of Doe' s Addition; thence North 34°04 ' 10" East
140 . 88 feet along the Northwesterly line of said Lot 6
to the Southwesterly line of the public alley in Block
No. 19; thence North 56°06' 46" West 64 . 44 feet along an
,' '\4 extension of said Southwesterly line of the public
alley; thence Westerly 1=1Z ,7a' feet along a 612 . 96 foot
radius curve concave Northerly with a long chord
bearing South 69°46' 27" West 191 . 96 feet; thence South
78°46 ' 59" West 81 . 65 feet ; thence South 56°03 ' 27" Fast
153 . 73 feet, parallel to and 8 . 00 feet normally distant
from the Northeasterly line of Block No. 4 in Miller' s
Addition; thence Easterly 117 . 71 feet along a 79 . 97
foot radius curve concave Southerly with a long chord
bearing North 81°49' 47" East 107 . 37 feet to the point
of beginning, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk
County, Iowa;
shall be, and the same is hereby vacated, subject to the City' s
retention of a permanent easement over, under and above the above
described property.
