RESOLUTION NO. 2019-387
RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM BRENDA JONES FOR A
BIRTHDAY PARTY TO BE HELD AT LAFAYETTE PARK ON
JUNE 8, 2019, FROM 4:00 P.M. TO 7:00 P.M., INCLUDING
MUSIC AND FOOD.
WHEREAS, Brenda Jones is requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance on June 8,
2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in conjunction with a birthday party event to be held at
Lafayette Park, including music and food, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance,
and
WHEREAS, said Brenda Jones has made formal application for a variance to the Noise
Ordinance on June 8, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., together with recommendation and
approval of the Director of Safety Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Brenda Jones for a variance to the Noise Ordinance on
June 8, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., in conjunction with a birthday party event to beheld at
Lafayette Park, with the use of a PA system, is hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of May 2019.
