RESOLUTION NO. 2019-390
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST FROM IRVING
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TO HOLD A 5K RACE ON JUNE 1,
2019 FROM 8:30 A.M. TO 11:30 A.M., COMMENCING AND
CONCLUDING IN THE AREA OF IRVING ELEMENTARY
SCHOOL, LOCATED AT W. 5TH STREET AND LOCUST
STREET, WITH THE ROUTE PRIMARILY ON THE
RESIDENTIAL STREETS NEAR THE SCHOOL.
WHEREAS, the Irving Elementary School made a written application to the City Council
asking that they be authorized and permitted to hold a 5K race on June 1, 2019, and
WHEREAS, said event will begin at 8:30 a.m., with the route commencing and
concluding in the area of Irving Elementary School, located at W. 5th Street and Locust Street,
with the route primarily on the residential streets near the school.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Irving Elementary School to hold a 5K race on June 1,
2019 beginning at 8:30 a.m., with the route commencing and concluding in the area of Irving
Elementary School, located at W. 5th Street and Locust Street, with the route primarily on the
residential streets near the school, is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of May 2019.
