RESOLUTION NO. 2019-397
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO ZINSER COMPANY, OF
WALFORD, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $289,600, AND
APPROVING CONTRACT, BONDS, AND CERTIFICATES OF
INSURANCE IN CONJUNCTION WITH REGULATED ASBESTOS -
CONTAINING MATERIALS DEMOLITION SERVICES AT: 1107
COMMERCIAL STREET, 919-925 COMMERCIAL STREET, 613 W.
7TH STREET, AND AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Zinser Company, of Walford, Iowa, submitted bids for regulated asbestos
containing materials demolition services at 1107 Commercial Street, 919-925 Commercial
Street, and 613 W. 7th Street, in the amount of $289,600, and
WHEREAS, Zinser Company submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2019-395, after public hearing on May 28, 2019, in conjunction with the
regulated asbestos containing materials demolition services at 1107 Commercial Street, 919-925
Commercial Street, and 613 W. 7th Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Zinser Company, in the amount of $289,600, for regulated
asbestos containing materials demolition services at 1107 Commercial Street, 919-925
Commercial Street, and 613 W. 7th Street, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Zinser Company
in conjunction with the asbestos containing materials demolition services at 1107 Commercial
Street, 919-925 Commercial Street, and 613 W. 7th Street, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of May 2019.
