RESOLUTION NO. 2019-402
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF CONTRACT
TO PETERSON CONTRACTORS, INC., OF REINBECK,
IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $262,420, AND APPROVING
THE CONTRACT, BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF
INSURANCE FOR THE FY 2019 CATTLE CONGRESS
SANITARY SEWER FORCE MAIN EMERGENCY BYPASS
REPAIR PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZE CITY ENGINEER TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, bids for emergency repairs were requested for a leaking sanitary sewer in
conjunction with the FY 2019 Cattle Congress Sanitary Sewer Force Main Emergency Bypass
Repair Project, and
WHEREAS, Peterson Contractors, Inc., of Reinbeck, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount
of $262,420, in the offices of the City Engineer on May 21, 2019, and is the apparent low bidder,
in conjunction with the FY 2019 Cattle Congress Sanitary Sewer Force Main Emergency Bypass
Repair Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Peterson Contractors, Inc., in the amount of $262,420, in
conjunction with the FY 2019 Cattle Congress Sanitary Sewer Force Main Emergency Bypass
Repair Project, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Peterson
Contractors, Inc., in conjunction with the FY 2019 Cattle Congress Sanitary Sewer Force Main
Emergency Bypass Repair Project, are hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are
authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of May 2019.
