AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1999 TRAFFIC CODE
BY: REPEALING SUBSECTION (4) LIME STREET OF
SECTION 548, BUS ZONES; AND ENACTING IN LIEU
THEREOF NEW SUBSECTIONS (4) HIGH STREET AND
(6a) VINE STREET OF SECTION 548, BUS ZONES;
AND REPEALING SUBSECTION (398) VINE STREET OF
SECTION 551, PARKING PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES
ON CERTAIN STREETS; AND ENACTING IN LIEU
THEREOF A NEW SUBSECTION (398) VINE STREET OF
SECTION 551, PARKING PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES
ON CERTAIN STREETS; AND REPEALING SUBSECTION
(57) LIME STREET OF SECTION 553 , NO PARKING
HERE TO CORNER; AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF
A NEW SUBSECTION (57) LIME STREET OF SECTION
553 , NO PARKING HERE TO CORNER; AND ADDING
SECTION 559A, 15 MINUTE PARKING; AND
REPEALING SUBSECTION (1) HIGH STREET OF
SECTION 560, 30 MINUTE PARKING; AND REPEALING
SUBSECTION (22) VINE STREET OF SECTION 579,
NO PARKING ANY TIME EXCEPT SUNDAY; AND
ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SUBSECTION
(22) VINE STREET OF SECTION 579, NO PARKING
ANY TIME EXCEPT SUNDAY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That Subsection (4) Lime Street of Section 548, Bus Zones,
of the 1999 Traffic Code, is hereby repealed in its entirety;
that new Subsections (4) High Street and (6a) Vine Street of
Section 548, Bus Zones, of the 1999 Traffic Code, are hereby
enacted in lieu thereof as follows :
(4) High Street East side from mid-block in a northerly
direction to Lime Street
(6a) Vine Street North side from mid-block in a westerly
direction to High Street
That Subsection (398) Vine Street of Section 551, Parking
Prohibited At All Times On Certain Streets, of the 1999 Traffic
Code, is hereby repealed in its entirety; that a new Subsection
(398) Vine Street of Section 551, Parking Prohibited At All Times
On Certain Streets, of the 1999 Traffic Code, is hereby enacted
in lieu thereof as follows :
(398) Vine Street North side from Idaho Street to Steely
Street; south side from Mobile Street to
Walnut Street; north side from Mobile
Street to S . Barclay Street

That Subsection (57) Lime Street of Section 553 , No Parking
Here to Corner, of the 1999 Traffic Code, is hereby repealed in
its entirety; that a new Subsection (57) Lime Street of Section
553 , No Parking Here to Corner, of the 1999 Traffic Code, is
hereby enacted in lieu thereof as follows :
(57) Lime Street North side in the 500 block in an
easterly direction from Walnut; north
side in the 700 block from the tennis
courts to High Street
That Section 559A, 15 Minute Parking, of the 1999 Traffic
Code, is added as follows :
SEC. 559A. 15 MINUTE PARKING.
When signs are erected in each block, or portion thereof
affected, giving notice, no person shall park a vehicle for
longer than 15 minutes at any time between the hours of 6 : 00 a.m.
and 3 : 00 p.m. , Monday through Friday, within the district and
upon any of the streets or portions thereof as named herein:
(1) High Street East side from mid-block in a southerly
direction to Vine Street
(2) Vine Street North side from mid-block in an easterly
direction to S . Barclay Street
That Subsection (1) High Street of Section 560, 30 Minute
Parking, of the 1999 Traffic Code, is hereby repealed in its
entirety.
That Subsection (22) Vine Street of Section 579, No Parking
Any Time Except Sunday, of the 1999 Traffic Code, is hereby
repealed in its entirety; that a new Subsection (22) Vine Street
of Section 579, No Parking Any Time Except Sunday, of the 1999
Traffic Code, is hereby enacted in lieu thereof as follows :
(22) Vine Street North side from S . Barclay Street to
Walnut Street
