ORDINANCE NO. 4453
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1999 TRAFFIC CODE BY
REPEALING SUBSECTION (43) LOGAN AVENUE AND
(62) SERGEANT ROAD OF SECTION 541, INCREASING
SPEED LIMITS IN CERTAIN AREAS; AND ENACTING IN
LIEU THEREOF NEW SUBSECTIONS (43) LOGAN AVENUE
AND (62) SERGEANT ROAD OF SECTION 541,
INCREASING SPEED LIMITS IN CERTAIN AREAS; AND
BY ADDING SUBSECTION (30a) HIGHWAY 63 TO
SECTION 541, INCREASING SPEED LIMITS IN
CERTAIN AREAS .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA:
That Subsections (43) Logan Avenue and (62) Sergeant Road of
Section 541, Increasing Speed Limits in Certain Areas, of the 1999
Traffic Code, are hereby repealed in their entirety; that new
Subsections (43) Logan Avenue and (62) Sergeant Road of Section
541, Increasing Speed Limits in Certain Areas, of the 1999 Traffic
Code, are hereby enacted in lieu thereof as follows :
(43) Logan Avenue also known as U. S . Hwy. 63 North -
from Franklin St . to 1, 000 feet north of Donald St . 35 mph
from 1, 000 feet north of Donald St . to 1, 800 feet
north of Donald St . 45 mph
from 1, 800 feet north of Donald St . to the
northerly corporate limits 55 mph
(62) Sergeant Rd. also known as U. S . Hwy. 63 South -
from the southerly corporate limits to a
point 550 feet south of Ansborough Avenue 55 mph
from a point 550 feet south of Ansborough Avenue
to a point 2 , 590 feet north of Fletcher Avenue 50 mph
from a point 2 , 590 feet north of Fletcher Avenue
to University Avenue 35 mph
That Subsection (30a) Highway 63 of Section 541, Increasing Speed
Limits in Certain Areas, of the 1999 Traffic Code, is hereby added
as follows :
(30a) Highway 63 -
from the southerly corporate limits to
550 feet south of Ansborough Avenue 55 mph
from 550 feet south of Ansborough Avenue to
2 , 590 feet north of Fletcher Avenue 50 mph
from 2 , 590 feet north of Fletcher Avenue to
1 , 000 feet north of Donald Street 35 mph
from 1, 000 feet north of Donald St . to 1, 800 feet
north of Donald St . 45 mph
from 1, 800 feet north of Donald St . to the
northerly corporate limits 55 mph
