ORDINANCE NO. 4479
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2001 CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, BY
REPEALING THE DEFINITION OF "UNLICENSED
VEHICLE" OF SUBSECTION A OF SECTION 4-4-7,
JUNK MOTOR VEHICLES, OF CHAPTER 4 , LITTER
CONTROL, OF TITLE 4, PUBLIC HEALTH AND
SAFETY; AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW
DEFINITION OF "UNLICENSED VEHICLE" OF
SUBSECTION A OF SECTION 4-4-7, JUNK MOTOR
VEHICLES, OF CHAPTER 4 , LITTER CONTROL, OF
TITLE 4 , PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY.
That the definition of "Unlicensed Vehicle" of Subsection A
of 4-4-7, Junk Motor Vehicles, of Chapter 4 , Litter Control, of
Title 4 , Public Health and Safety, of the 2001 Code of
Ordinances of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is hereby repealed in
its entirety; that a new definition of "Unlicensed Vehicle" of
Subsection A of 4-4-7, Junk Motor Vehicles, of Chapter 4 , Litter
Control , of Title 4 , Public Health and Safety, of the 2001 Code
of Ordinances of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is hereby enacted
in lieu thereof as follows :
4-4-7 : JUNK MOTOR VEHICLES :
A. Definitions :
UNLICENSED VEHICLE: Any vehicle which is required to be
licensed if it is operated on a public street or highway,
but which is not displaying a valid and current license .
For the purposes of this ordinance, a valid current license
shall not be required of a vehicle that is stored in a
fully enclosed structure .

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, on the 29th day of May, 2001, and approved by the
Mayor on the 31st day of May, 2001 .
