ORDINANCE NO. 4545
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2000 TRAFFIC CODE
BY: REPEALING SUBSECTION (135) JEFFERSON ST.
AND THIRD ST. (W) OF SECTION 540, OBEDIENCE
TO OFFICIAL TRAFFIC-CONTROL DEVICES; AND
REPEALING SUBSECTIONS (79) JEFFERSON STREET
AND (149) THIRD ST. (W) OF SECTION 543 , THRU
STREETS; AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF NEW
SUBSECTIONS (79) JEFFERSON STREET AND (149)
THIRD ST. (W) OF SECTION 543 , THRU STREETS .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That Subsection (135) Jefferson St . and Third St . (W) of
Section 540, Obedience to Official Traffic-Control Devices, of
the 2000 Traffic Code, is repealed in its entirety.
That Subsections (85) Jefferson Street and (162) Third St .
(W) of Section 543 , Thru Streets, of the 2000 Traffic Code, are
hereby repealed in their entirety; that new Subsections (85)
Jefferson Street and (162) Third St . (W) of Section 543 , Thru
Streets, of the 2000 Traffic Code, are hereby enacted in lieu
thereof as follows :
(85) Jefferson Street LaPorte Road to Westfield Avenue except
for traffic signals at West 11th Street,
West Sixth Street, West Fifth Street,
West Fourth Street, West Park Avenue,
West First Street and West Mullan Avenue
and a two-way stop at West 18th Street
(162) Third St . (W) Dead end of Third Street adjacent to
Washington Park to Sergeant Road except
for four-way stops at Kimball and
Fletcher
