RESOLUTION NO. 2019-339
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO
WOODRUFF CONSTRUCTION, LLC, OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
IN THE AMOUNT OF $734,330.30, AND APPROVING THE
CONTRACT, BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE
IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2019 LINCOLN PARK
IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. 973, AND
AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Woodruff Construction, LLC of Waterloo, Iowa submitted a bid in the
amount of $734,330.30, and is the apparent low bidder in conjunction with the FY 2019 Lincoln
Park Improvements Project, Contract No. 973, and
WHEREAS, Woodruff Construction, LLC submitted a written contract, per the
specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with Resolution No. 2019-180,
after public hearing on April 1, 2019, in conjunction with the FY 2019 Lincoln Park
Improvements Project, Contract No. 973.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Woodruff Construction, LLC in the amount of $734,330.30, in
conjunction with the FY 2019 Lincoln Park Improvements Project, Contract No. 973, is hereby
awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Woodruff
Construction, LLC, in conjunction with the FY 2019 Lincoln Park Improvements Project,
Contract No. 973, are hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed
to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of May 2019.
