RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
JUNE 17, 2019 FOR THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF CITY
OWNED PROPERTY IN THE AMOUNT OF $1.00 (TWO LOTS
SOUTHEAST OF 55 FRANKLIN STREET), AUTHORIZING
ACQUISITION OF THE SALVATION ARMY BUILDING
LOCATED AT 415 E. 7TH STREET IN THE AMOUNT OF
$200,000, WITH A PROPERTY EXCHANGE AGREEMENT,
AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall meet in the Harold E.
Getty Council Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 17th day of June 2019,
for the purpose of considering and acting upon authorizing the sale and conveyance of two City
owned lots southeast of 55 Franklin Street, in the amount of $1.00, the acquisition of the
Salvation Army building located at 415 E. 7th Street, in the amount of $200,000, and a Property
Exchange Agreement between the Salvation Army and the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place
of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of June 2019.
