AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1996 TRAFFIC CODE :
BY REPEALING SUBSECTION (81) FIFTH STREET (E)
AND WATER STREET OF SECTION 540, OBEDIENCE TO
OFFICIAL TRAFFIC-CONTROL DEVICES; AND
BY ADDING SUBSECTION (52a) FIFTH STREET (E)
TO SECTION 543 , THRU STREETS .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That Subsection (81) Fifth Street (E) and Water Street of Section
540, Obedience to Official Traffic-Control Devices, of the 1996
Traffic Code, is hereby repealed in its entirety.
That Subsection (52a) Fifth Street (E) of Section 543 , Thru
Streets, of the 1996 Traffic Code, is hereby added as follows :
(52a) Fifth Street (E) Cedar River to Walnut Street except for
signals at Sycamore Street, Lafayette
Street, Mulberry Street, and Franklin
Street

PASSED 1ST CONSIDERATION: May 18, 1998
PASSED 2ND CONSIDERATION: May 18, 1998
PASSED 3RD CONSIDERATION: May 18, 1998
