ORDINANCE NO. 4373 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1999 TRAFFIC CODE BY REPEALING SECTIONS 359, TEN MINUTE PARKING, AND 360, PERSONS AUTHORIZED TO ISSUE TICKETS AT AIRPORT; AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF NEW SECTIONS 359, PARKING REGULATIONS AT AIRPORT, AND 360, PERSONS AUTHORIZED TO ENFORCE PARKING REGULATIONS AT AIRPORT; AND BY ADDING SECTION 361, PENALTIES FOR PARKING VIOLATIONS AT THE AIRPORT. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA: That Sections 359, Ten Minute Parking, and 360 , Persons Authorized to Issue Tickets at Airport, of the 1999 Traffic Code, are hereby repealed in their entirety; that new Sections 359, Parking Regulations at Airport, and 360, Persons Authorized to Enforce Parking Regulations at Airport, of the 1999 Traffic Code, are hereby enacted in lieu thereof as follows : SEC. 359 . PARKING REGULATIONS AT AIRPORT. When signs are erected giving notice thereof, the following parking regulations shall apply on the street in front of the main airport terminal at the Waterloo Municipal Airport : (a) No parking along the south side of the road. This lane shall remain a through lane . (b) Vendor parking for loading and unloading only shall be allowed down the center of the street . Vehicle flashers must be used during the entire time the vehicle is parked in the center of the street . (c) The north side of the road shall be a drop-off zone only. No vehicle shall be parked in the drop-off zone for longer than five (5) minutes . SEC. 360 . PERSONS AUTHORIZED TO ENFORCE PARKING REGULATIONS AT AIRPORT. The Airport Director, Assistant Airport Director, Waterloo Fire Rescue personnel assigned to the Airport, skycaps, janitorial service personnel , and maintenance personnel employed by the Airport Commission, and police officers of the Waterloo Police Department are hereby authorized to enforce parking regulations as set out in Sections 358 and 359 . They shall also be authorized to issue handicapped parking tickets, but only at the Waterloo Municipal Airport . 336 PAGE 344 Ordinance No. 4373 Page 2 That Section 361, Penalties for Parking Violations at the Airport, is hereby added to the 1999 Traffic Code, as follows : SEC. 361 . PENALTIES FOR PARKING VIOLATIONS AT THE AIRPORT. The fine for parking violations at the Waterloo Municipal Airport shall be Five Dollars ($5 . 00) . If the fine is not paid within thirty (30) days of the date of violation, the fine shall increase to Ten Dollars ($10 . 00) .
