ORDINANCE NO. 4160
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1991 TRAFFIC CODE BY
REPEALING SECTION 335, PARKING FINES, AND
ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION 335,
PARKING FINES.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa:
That Section 335, Parking Fines, of the 1991 Traffic Code, is
repealed in its entirety; that a new Section 335, Parking Fines, of
the 1991 Traffic Code, is enacted in lieu thereof as follows:
SEC. 335. PARKING FINES.
(a) It shall be a violation of this article for any person to
permit a vehicle to park in any parking space and adjacent to a
parking meter without first inserting coins into the meter as
designated on the meter. Legal parking is only permitted upon such
a deposit. The fine schedule for violation of this subsection
shall be as follows:
Meter violation -
If paid within 24 hours of violation $ 2.00
If paid after 24 hours of violation $ 5.00
If paid after 30 days of violation $10. 00
(b) It shall be a violation of this article for any person to
permit a vehicle to park in any parking space adjacent to a parking
meter beyond the period of legal parking time established for any
parking meter zone. This type of violation shall be designated as
overtime parking. A fine of $5.00 shall be established for each
violation of this subsection.
(c) It shall be a violation of this article for any person to
permit a vehicle to park in any parking space adjacent to a parking
meter which is in violation of any of the following subsections and
shall be classified as an improper, restricted or prohibited
parking violation. The fine for violation of this subsection shall
be $5.00.
Improper, restricted or prohibited parking violation shall be
as follows:

SEC. 283 . BACKING INTO PARKING SPACE.
SEC. 286. PARKING FOR CERTAIN PURPOSES PROHIBITED.
SEC. 287. SUMMONS PLACED ON ILLEGALLY PARKING VEHICLE.
SEC. 289. PARKING PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES ON CERTAIN STREETS.
SEC. 290. NO PARKING BETWEEN SIGNS.
SEC. 291. NO PARKING HERE TO CORNER.
SEC. 292. NO PARKING HERE TO TRACKS.
SEC. 293 . NO PARKING HERE TO ALLEY.
SEC. 294. NO PARKING MAIL DROP.
SEC. 295. NO PARKING HOTEL ENTRANCE.
SEC. 296. THIRTY-MINUTE PARKING.
SEC. 297. THIRTY-MINUTE PARKING.
SEC. 298. ONE-HOUR PARKING.
SEC. 299. TWO-HOUR PARKING.
SEC. 300. NO PARKING 8:00 A.M. TO 4: 00 P.M.
SEC. 301 . NO PARKING 1: 00 P.M. TO 4:00 P.M.
SEC. 302. NO PARKING 12: 00 NOON TO 4: 00 P.M.
SEC. 303. NO PARKING 6: 00 A.M. TO 6: 00 P.M. EXCEPT SUNDAY.
SEC. 304. NO PARKING ANY TIME EXCEPT SUNDAY.
