AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1996 TRAFFIC CODE
BY:
ADDING SUBSECTIONS (14a) ANSBOROUGH AVENUE
AND SAN MARNAN DRIVE AND (145a) LINDEN AND
MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DRIVE TO SECTION 540,
OBEDIENCE TO OFFICIAL TRAFFIC-CONTROL
DEVICES; AND
ADDING NEW SUBSECTION (44a) MARTIN LUTHER
KING JR. DRIVE TO SECTION 541, INCREASING
SPEED LIMITS IN CERTAIN AREAS; AND
REPEALING SUBSECTION (97) MOBILE STREET OF
SECTION 543 , THRU STREETS; AND ENACTING IN
LIEU THEREOF A NEW SUBSECTION (97) MOBILE
STREET OF SECTION 543, THRU STREETS; AND
ADDING NEW SUBSECTION (91a) MARTIN LUTHER
KING JR. DRIVE TO SECTION 543 , THRU STREETS;
AND
REPEALING SUBSECTION (260) MOBILE STREET OF
SECTION 551, PARKING PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES
ON CERTAIN STREETS; AND ENACTING IN LIEU
THEREOF NEW SUBSECTION (260) MOBILE STREET OF
SECTION 551, PARKING PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES
ON CERTAIN STREETS; AND
ADDING SUBSECTION (246a) MARTIN LUTHER KING
JR. DRIVE TO SECTION 551, PARKING PROHIBITED
AT ALL TIMES ON CERTAIN STREETS .
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa:
That Subsections (14a) Ansborough Avenue and San Marnan
Drive and (145a) Linden and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive are
hereby added to Section 540, Obedience to Official Traffic-
Control Devices, of the 1996 Traffic Code, as follows :
(14a) Ansborough Avenue and San Marnan Drive--Full Actuated
(145a) Linden and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive--Full Actuated
That Subsection (44a) Martin Luther King Jr. Drive is hereby
added to Section 541, Increasing Speed Limits in Certain Areas,
of the 1996 Traffic Code, as follows :
(44a) Martin Luther King Jr. Drive - from Franklin Street to 200
feet east of S . Barclay Street - 30 mph; from 200 feet
east of S. Barclay Street to Idaho Street - 35 mph
That Subsection (97) Mobile Street of Section 543 , Thru
Streets, of the 1996 Traffic Code is hereby repealed in its
entirety; that a new Subsection (97) Mobile Street of Section
543 , Thru Streets, of the 1996 Traffic Code, is hereby enacted in
lieu thereof as follows :
(97) Mobile Street Martin Luther King Jr. Drive to south
side of Sumner Street
That new Subsection (91a) Martin Luther King Jr. Drive is
hereby added to Section 543, Thru Streets, of the 1996 Traffic
Code, as follows :

(91a) Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. From Franklin Street to North
Elk Run Road except for
signals at S . Barclay Street,
Linden, and Idaho Street
That Subsection (260) Mobile Street of Section 551, Parking
Prohibited at All Times on Certain Streets, of the 1991 Traffic
Code, is hereby repealed in its entirety; that new Subsection
(260) Mobile Street of Section 551, Parking Prohibited at All
Times on Certain Streets, of the 1996 Traffic Code, is hereby
enacted in lieu thereof as follows :
(260) Mobile Street East side from Martin Luther King Jr.
Drive to Cottage Street; east side from
Independence Avenue to Franklin Street;
west side from Martin Luther King Jr.
Drive to Douglas Street
That Subsection (246a) Martin Luther King Jr. Drive of
Section 551, Parking Prohibited at All Times on Certain Streets,
of the 1996 Traffic Code, is hereby added as follows :
(246a) Martin Luther King Jr. Drive Both sides from Franklin
Street to Idaho Street
