AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1993 CODE OF
ORDINANCES BY REPEALING SECTION 2-28,
ADDRESSING THE CHAIR, OF DIVISION 2 , RULES OF
ORDER, OF ARTICLE II, THE COUNCIL, OF CHAPTER
2, ADMINISTRATION; AND ENACTING IN LIEU
THEREOF A NEW SECTION 2-28, ADDRESSING THE
CHAIR, OF DIVISION 2, RULES OF ORDER, OF
ARTICLE II, THE COUNCIL, OF CHAPTER 2,
ADMINISTRATION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa:
That Section 2-28, Addressing the chair, of Division 2, Rules of
Order, of Article II, The Council, of Chapter 2, Administration, of
the 1993 Code of Ordinances of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is
hereby repealed; that a new Section 2-28, Addressing the chair, of
Division 2, Rules of Order, of Article II, The Council, of Chapter
2, Administration, of the 1993 Code of Ordinances of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, is hereby enacted in lieu thereof as follows:
Sec. 2-28 . Addressing the chair.
Each member of this council, prior to speaking, may rise to
his feet and address himself to the mayor, and say, "Mr. Mayor,"
but shall not proceed with his remarks until recognized and named
by the chair.
